This 5 day, high alpine hike guides us around the Wildspitz, as an option, we can also go up there on the sixth day.

Sunday:
Meeting point at 8.30am at the mountain guide office in Vent – Haus Hubertus, followed by a hike over the Panoramaweg  to the Tiefenbach glacier 2.800 m (5 hrs), with the bus we travel to the Rettenbach glacier and from there hike over the Pitztaler Jöchl 3.000 m to the Braunschweiger hut (2hrs). Alternatively we take the chair lift to the Stableinalm 2.356 m, and hike on to the Rofenkar glacier and over this to the Rofenkarjoch 3.320 m (4hrs). Followed by the long descent over the Mittelberg glacier to the Braunschweiger hut. 2.759 m (4hrs)..

Monday:
We ascend over the Mittelberg glacier to the Mittelbergjoch 3,166 m (3hrs) and over the Taschach glacier down to the Taschach house 2,434 m (2 ½ hrs). Or we hike to the cable car station at the hinteren Brunnenkogel (2 hrs.) take the cable car up and climb down from the summit 3.440 m to the Taschach house 2.434 m (3 ½ hrs.).

Tuesday:
Today we hike without climbing glaciers to the Ölgrubenjoch 3.050 m (3hrs) and on the other side a climb down into Kaunertal to Gepatsch house 1.928 m (2 ½ hrs.).

Wednesday:
For the first time there is no crossing, only an ascent via a path and the Gepatsch glacier, past magnificent ice falls, to the small Rauhekopf hut 2,732 m (5 hrs.).

Thursday:
Over the Gepatsch glacier we carry on further to the Gepatschjoch 3.241 m (3hrs.) and down over the Vernagt glacier to the Vernagt hut 2.755m (2hrs.).

Friday:
A possibility for the sixth day is the ascent to the Wildspitz 3.774 m. We climb over the Vernagt glacier and the Brochkogeljoch 3.423 m to the Taschach glacier and over this to the summit of the Wildspitz (5 hrs.). The descent is either over the Mitterkarjoch or the Rofenkar glacier to the Breslauer hut (2 ½ hrs.) and then on to Vent (1 hr.).

The alternative is to hike to the Breslauer hut via the Seufertweg (3hrs) and from there a direct descent to vent (1 hr) or climb the Wilder Mann 3.019 m (1 ½ hrs) and then return to Vent (1 ½ hrs).
