Multi-day tours
The unknown crossing of the Ötztal Alps on many quiet paths and routes with enchanting peaks and the unique experience of entering the largest glacier in the Ötztal Alps.
Sunday:
Meeting point 9.00 am at the mountain guides office in Vent (Haus Hubertus), we then take the chairlift in the direction of the Wildes Mannle and walk to the Rofenkar glacier (1 ½ hrs). Here we can either practice our technique with crampons and walking on the rope, or we can climb the Taufkarkogel 3.367 m (2 hrs) or the Ötztaler Urkund 3.556 m (3 hrs). For our first overnight stay we’ll cross the glacier over a small fixed trail to the Breslauer hut 2.844 m..
Monday:
Climb via the Mitterkarjoch to the Taschach glacier and ascent to the Petersen Spitze 3,484 m (4 hrs.). We descend via the Brochkogeljoch 3,423 m and the Großen vernagt glacier to the Vernagt hut.
Tuesday:
Via the Guslar glacier we climb up to the Kesselwandspitze 3,414 m (3 hrs) and via the lower Guslarjoch and the Kesselwand glacier we reach the highest refuge in the Ötztaler Alps, the Brandenburger Haus 3,272 m (2 hrs). In the evening we have the option of climbing to the Dahmspitze for a sunset (½ hr).
Wednesday:
Today there are three ice peaks to choose from. The front 3,437 m the middle 3,451 m of the back Hintereisspitze 3,486 m, all reachable via our largest glacier the Gepatsch glacier (approx. 1 ½ to 2 hrs). Following that it’s over the Kesselwand glacier and over the old and unknown Oskar Reuther Weg down to the Hochjoch Hospiz 2,413 m (approx. 4 hrs.).
Thursday:
Over the Hintereis glacier, the longest glacier in our region, towards the Langtauferer Spitze 3,529 m (4 ½ hrs.) and subsequently with a counter climb of approximately 300 m to the Schönen Aussicht 2,842 m (3 ½ hrs.)..
Friday:
On the last day of our tour we go via the Hochjoch glacier up to the Saykogel 3,360 m (3 hrs.) and then we climb the other side leading to the Martin Busch Hütte 2,501 m (2 hrs,) and out through the Niedertal to Vent (1 ½ hrs.).
